Also to the people saying we should move the BC two things:
1) That’s eight months away and we have more then enough time to fix the tracks issues that are getting caused by the rain
2) LAs climate in the fall and it’s climate in the spring are opposite sides of the coin. Let me put it this way what is the one thing we always hear about in the fall: the answer is wildfires. Guess what we also never hear about during the spring or at least not to the same extent: again wildfires. Spring is usually more wet anyway but it’s REALLY wet this year. Which is where the problems are coming from for the most part. Less wet, less track problems. Even without changing the surface
Even from the 14th post position there was no stopping Accelerate in the 10 furlong, Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Classic. The five-year-old son of Lookin’ At Lucky earns trainer John Sadler his first Breeders’ Cup Classic win. Joel Rosario was on the mount for the winning ride. Favored Accelerate wins his fourth Grade 1 in a 2018 campaign that included victories at the Pacific Classic, Awesome Again, the Gold Cup, and the Santa Anita Handicap.
Gunnevera was second, Thunder Snow third, Yoshida fourth. Fractions:
