Tagging you three since I figure one of you must know where to find it

@thescienceofracing @thelookofeagles @goodhorsekeeping

Any of you know where to find the study that says that horses raced as two year olds usually are sturdier then ones not raced? Thanks.

I gotchu fam

2012 study, sample is the entire 2001/02 NZ foal crop

Different 2012 study, sample of over 100k Aussie horses

2007 Polish study

2004 Firth study

This isn’t the study you were looking for, but it’s absolutely brilliant, so here have this one too:

Bucked shins study: http://www.ivis.org/proceedings/aaep/2002/910102000076.PDF

What a coincidence. Work is required to build bone in young horses 😮

Thanks! Going to bookmark these for later next time this comes up again. Since I can never seem to find the links when I actually neeed them.
