Justify Ready for Preakness
According to trainer Bob Baffert, the beautiful chestnut winner of the 144th Kentucky Derby appears to be ready for the second jewel of the Triple Crown on Saturday, May 19th. This horse looks like a powerhouse!
So far a very short list of possible contenders are looking at taking on Justify in Baltimore (leaving the door open for plenty of the infamous “new shooters”), with Chad Brown only leaving open the possibility of Good Magic returning. D. Wayne Lucas may bring Sporting Chance and Bravazo (6th in the Derby). Quip and Federico Tesio winner Diamond King have been targeting the Preakness. Blended Citizen, a Kentucky Derby alternate entry who did not get in after no scratches were made, is targeting the May 12th Peter Pan Stakes to prep for the Belmont Stakes.
